Overall,I enjoyed being in the class.Mr.Hsiao is very nice and very caring for each of his students.He teach us about the things that we should know about English and about life.I have learned so many things from this class,especially,from the run-on and fragments lesson.In the class,I do not really have much friend because I am too quiet.However,I got to talked to Marcy the most because she is my debate partner.She is a very nice young lady.She also seem little bit shy like me.I guess that is why Mr.Hsiao picked us to be together.Lol.Ernesto and Eduardo make the class to be more enjoyable because they were always say somethings funny in class.Priscilla,I saw you at the last minutes when we were gonna go out.I actually say hi to you at your work place.:)I did not really how to start a conversation with you,so I hope you don't feel bad about it.However,when I saw you next time at Black Angus,I will try to talk to you more.Hopefully I could get you as a server.^-^

I would like to thanks Jenny,Nic,Courtney and Orlando for taking their times to come talked to us in class.Their stories are interesting and inspirational.I liked how the speakers have their own unique personalities.Most of the speakers were funny,especially Nic.He is the funniest one out of all.As for Courtney,I actually wanted to hear her sing to us in class.It kind of sad that I did not got to hear her sing.I try to search for her vdo on youtube,but I could not find it.If anyone know where to see her vdo,please send a link to me plz?Anyway,by listening to the speakers' stories and advices,it make me feel that I have to keep doing what I am doing now to reach my goal.I should not give up.I also would like to thank Mr.Hsiao for letting us relax for one day and bring in your former students to talked to us about their lives and gave us some great advices.I am sure that I will take their advices and use them to help me in life. :)

I went to eat at Black Angus near Cerritos Mall with my sister on the weekend around 2 PM afternoon. There were very less customers there.I would say about 4 tables in the whole entire restaurant.The server is really nice btw.As for the food,I ordered medium rare 22oz.Full Flavored Rib eye which cost about $22.99 and come with 2 sides.For the sides,I got a loaded baked potatoes soup and loaded baked potato.The loaded baked potatoes soup taste okay. It kind of little bit too salty though.The loaded bake potato taste great.They gave you cheddar cheese,small pieces of bacon,some vegetables,sour cream,and butter on top of the potato.I have to say that the quality of the rib-eye streak is great.It is soft and juicy.However,the streak should have more taste.At least it should be more salty.Anyway,my sister ordered medium rare 16oz t-bone,which is $23.99 and also come with 2 sides.I think that her streak taste better than mine.It have more taste.Overall,I like the service and the decoration inside of the restaurant is nice.However,the price of the food is a little high.I would not recommend you to ordered Rib eye though because it does not have much taste,unless you put the streak sauce on it.

I think that the field trip to the Bolsa Chica Conservancy was great.I enjoyed learning about the coastal wetlands and the different kinds of animals and plants that are located in the Bolsa Chica Conservancy.When we got to Bolsa Chica Conservancy,the students were separated into two groups.My sister and I actually made two new friends from Golden West College.I do not remember their names,but they are Vietnamese,and are very nice and easy to talk to.We first started talking to them because we were the last group of people that walked toward the Bolsa Chica wetland.After that,my sister and I talked to them about many random things while on the trip.The group that my sister and I were in got to go toured the wetland first. The tour guide of my group was pretty nice.She explained the information clearly and understandably.I remember she told us that the Bolsa Chica Conservancy has about 1,200 acres of wetlands and 118 acres of upland habitat.She also said that the Bolsa Chica Conservancy is one of the largest wetlands in California.While we were on a trail,we saw a lizard and a rabbit.At first I did not see the rabbit because it camouflaged so well with the brush.Later on,the tour guide showed us this ice plant, which kind of looked like it was covered with ice.I found this plant to be interesting because of the look-alike ice that covered up the plant.The tour guide told us that this plant is an invading plant because when it grows on a soil,it would get all the water from the soil and would not leave any for any native plants around it.She said the way to get rid of it is to put a bag over the plant,so that it would not have any oxygen to breath.However,this plant has a very large root,so even though the plant dies,it might grow back up again because of the deep root under the soil.The tour guide also said that the wetlands provide habitat for migrating,wintering,and breeding birds,produce oxygen,provide natural flood control, provide homes for endangered species,and serve as a safe place for native plants and animals to stay.We also got a chance to see the mud where there were many white birds.The tour guide said that the mud provides a good food place for the birds. After we finished walking on the five-mile trail,we went to the environment groups’ booths,so that we could learn about what each group’s purpose were.They were giving away free materials,such as brochure and mouse pad,so I got some.We also got to go see the live animals,which could be found in the Bolsa Chica Conservancy,in the glass cases inside this building.I got to see many animals,such as,fish,snakes,and spiders.All the snakes and spiders that I saw were scary to me.The thing that stood out to me the most was the squirrel’s fur.When I touched the fur,it felt kind of like my cat’s fur,except that my cat’s fur is softer and smoother.After we finished, my sister and I decided to go eat at Jack in the Box.When we got there,I ordered large natural fries and a medium soft drink.My sister ordered seasoned curly fries and strawberry smoothie.There were not many people at the restaurant.There were only four other students from Cerritos College that went to eat there.We spent about forty-five minutes eating there.Around 12:45PM,my sister and I started to head back to the meeting place.We actually wanted to go to the beach and take some pictures, but we did not have time left for that.When we got to the meeting place,we headed back to the bus.Overall,I think that this field trip was great.I got to exercise by walking on a five-mile trail and just relax and chill with my sister.However,I wished that the weather would have cooperated.

Have one ever wonder if one goes in the right path of one’s life? Well,if one taking Myers Briggs Test Humanmetrics Jung Typology Test,then one will definitely know if one do. This test asked one about 71 questions about oneself.When the result of the test come out, one will get a four letter result,in which one have to go to a personality page to see the description of it.As for me,I received ISFJ, which according to the personality web page,is the nurturer.The nurturer related to me because in my real life,I am currently taking care of my cats and my sister.For the cats,I found them at my house about a year ago.I decide to keep them because I do not want to give them to the shelter animal control and because I know that there is a high chance of them being killed.At first my parents do not want me to keep the cats,but as time goes by,they started to like my cats and started to love them like I do.I take care of everything about the cats like buying cat food,buy litter,and take them to the veterinarian for their yearly shots, check up or when they have any problems.Now,they are currently one year old and they are healthy cats.As for my sister,I always take care of her because she have a mental problem.I always told her to take the medication daily so that she won’t forget to take it.Also,I always spend a lot of time with her because I want her to get better for her condition.I always kiss and hug her so that she could feel that I love her very much.

For the research paper,I chose to do the “Who am I?” alternate final paper.It is because I wanted to know what career or job would be the best fit for me in the future.Even though right now I want to be a nurse,I am not sure if that is what I really want to do.As for the result of the Myers Briggs Test Humanmetrics Jung Typology Test,I received a nurturer.It stated that my personality is warm and kind-hearted,I value harmony and cooperation,and I am very sensitive to other people’s feelings.It also states that I have a strong sense of duty and that I am hard-working and have the ability to respond quickly to a situation.I agree with this statement.I plan to write about my personality,my personal growth,relationships, and my career according to the test result.The next thing that I will do is write about my career plan;for example,what job I will be doing and the role and salary of the job.I will also write about the skills a person needs to have to qualify for the job.The sources that I will use are www.personalitypage.com/portraits.html, http://www.bls.gov/OCO/,and a book source. I think that the field trip to Griffith Observatory was great.When we got to the museum,Mr.Hsiao picked about five team leaders,and my sister and I choose Archie because he seemed like a nice person.After that,we all headed to Leonard Nimoy Event Horizon Theater to watch the film called The Once and Future Griffith Observatory,which is about the Observatory’s history and how it was renovated and expanded in 2002.I enjoyed watching the film.The part that I found funny in the film is that the founder of the Griffith Observatory has Griffith as both his first and last name.The part of the film that I found to be surprising was when the narrator explained and showed how the construction workers were able to find a way to lift the whole Observatory and build a lower level beneath it.After about twenty-five minutes of watching the film,we headed to the “Gunther Depths of Space” section in the lower level of the Observatory.There,we got to see “The Big Picture”,which is the largest astronomical image ever produced.We also got to see how much we would weigh if we were on each of the nine planets.After spending about thirty minutes in there,we headed to “Samuel Oschin Planetarium”,in which we saw the film called “Centered in the Universe”.I really liked this film because the screen is very big and it is above one’s head.When the film started,I felt like I was really there in the sky,galaxy,or the place that the film took us to learn about how the universe was formed.After that,we went to the outside of the Observatory to take some pictures of ourselves.About twenty minutes after that,we went to eat at the “Café at the End of the Universe”.There,my sister ordered strawberry parfait and a packet of assorted cookies.As for myself,I did not order any food because I did not want to waste my money.I had brought some Lindt Lindor Truffles from home,so I ate some of those.My sister also gave me some of her cookies.After spending about forty minutes at the café,my sister and I went and took many pictures of ourselves inside and around the Observatory.My sister and I enjoyed walking inside and around the museum taking many pictures of each other.We liked how it was so pretty to see all the city’s light down the hill.It was like we were in heaven.We had such a great time with each other.Then about 8 PM,my sister and I decided to go wait at the meeting spot.We then headed to the front lawn of the Observatory.It was so dark there because the light was not turned on.My sister and I could not see who was who around there.About fifteen minutes later,we found our team leader and we followed him to the tour bus.We had to wait on the bus for around thirty minutes because some people were missing from the bus,and then around 9 PM,we left the Griffith Observatory. Overall,I liked this field trip,and I am looking forward to going to more field trips in the near future.

The gender of the speaker is unknown,but I would guess that it might be a guy.I think that the speaker is writing this poem for his loved one,which I think is likely to be his girlfriend or his wife.I think that the speaker is complimenting his girlfriend that she make him to love himself more.Before he met her,he would probably not love himself as much as he is now when he is when her.His girlfriend probably doing something or giving something to the speaker that make him a better man.His girlfriend sort of make the speaker feel that he is becoming a new person from all the love and caring that she had given him.I believe that this poem is about flattering the speaker's loved one.

On the morning of the field trip,my mother decided to drop off my sister and I in the school parking lot.This was because I felt too sleepy to drive.When we got there,we waited for about twenty minutes until we actually got on the bus.My sister and I were surprised at how few people went on the field trip with us.There were only about twelve or thirteen students that went on the trip.I guess that it was because people did not want to help or did not want to wake up early.The bus ride to the church at Garden Grove took about thirty minutes.When we got to the church,we had to go inside the gym.Inside,there were chairs lined up along the outside of the big basketball court.The people were sitting in those chairs,patiently waiting for the time when they would receive free food.My sister and I went outside the church to help unload the food from the truck to the table.All I saw were dry foods like yams,potatoes,onions,canned foods,and vegetables.After we finished unloading the food,we had to decide what food we wanted to unpack and place in the plastic bags to give to each family.My sister and I decided to do the yams.We had to put five yams in each plastic bag.I believe it took us about an hour and a half to finish putting the yams in the plastic bags.After that,the people started to get in line to get the free food.It was no surprise to me the amount of people who took advantage of getting food,especially in this recession period.At first,I wanted to be the person who gave the bags with yams to the families,but there was already a person doing that.My sister and I then decided that we had to be the helpers.We would help the people carry their food boxes.Most of the students from Cerritos College were in line to be the helpers.My sister and I did not really want to do it,so we decided to stand in the back of the line.About forty-five minutes had passed and we did not end up helping because other people were always volunteering to go up instead.At the end,we did not have to do it at all.I felt kind of disappointed that I did not get to help as much as I could have.I wanted to come into contact with the people I was helping.I would have liked to not be sitting around so long and do more tasks for the church that was helping the people.I thought to myself that next time,I would try to help them more.We left the church around 11:30 AM to go to Tasty Goody Chinese Food.When we got there,I ordered fried chicken wings and spicy spare ribs to go.My sister ordered fried chicken wings and fried rice.I did not want to pay extra for the rice,so I decided that I would eat my food at home.It was because I already had rice at home.Because of that,I decided to go get a Venti Double Cholately Chip Frappuccino Blend Crème drink at a nearby Starbucks.My sister also wanted a Grande Strawberries & Crème Frappuccino® Blended Crème.After about forty-five minutes,we got on the bus and headed back to school.I called my mother to pick us up a little bit late,so she came at the time that we were taking a group picture.At first,I thought that we might have to wait for her a little bit longer,but it was great that she came at the right time.Overall,I think that the trip was okay.

This story is about the four men:the cook,the oiler,correspondent,and the captain.They were on a small boat in the ocean that have big waves and strong winds.Because of this,there is a chance that their ship might be sunk into the ocean.The cook states that they might could be save if seen by the rescuers or by finding a house of refuge on the shore.After that,the captain spot a barely visible lighthouse.This is the sign that they are approaching the shore.The men on the boat,help each other by take turn rowing the boat,so that each one of them could have a time to rest.The lighthouse appear to be deserted.The men then return to ocean.The men see that someone is waving at them from the shore.There are more people coming to wave at them.At first,the men thought that they were going to help them.However,the men realized that the people on shore are just tourists who think that the men are fishermen.The four men spending time rowing at night.At dawn, the men decide that the only way that they will survive is to row toward the distance shore again and swim when the boat sunk.The oiler row the boat toward the shore.Waves then crash into the boat as it break. The four men then swim to the shore.The rescuer appear on the shore and help drag the cook,the correspondent, and captain to safety.Billie,the oiler turned out to be dead from drowning.At the end,the three men left,are being well taking care of by the rescuer.

This story is about a girl named Sylvia.She came to lived with her grandmother,Mrs. Tilley,around England's country site.One evening while she her cow,Misstress Mooly,she was approached by a young handsome man,who is searching for a rare white heron,in which he sure is around Sylvia's areas.The young man asked Sylvia if he could stay at her grandma's house.The grandma let him stay for the night.The young man told Sylvia & her grandmother that he will gave ten dollars to anyone that lead him to a white heron.The next day,Sylvia go with the man into the forest to search for the bird,but the man could not find it.Next morning,Sylvia decide to go to look for the white heron by herself,so that she could show him the exact location,where the bird located at.Sylvia decide to climb the tallest tree to see the countryside.She found the white heron on this tallest tree.At the end of the story,Sylvia decide not to tell the man where the heron is.I think that she decide to do this because she might don't want to see the bird get kill.Overall,this story was okie to read, but I don't really understand the theme that in the story.Hopefully when we discuss this story in class,I will be able to understand the story more. :)

This field trip turned out to be better than I expected.In the morning,before we went on the bus,it was a little awkward because everybody that drove his or her own car had to go through a one road entrance to park in the school’s parking lot.There were some people already there who were standing outside and looking at the people that drove.I found it to be a little embarrassing.It was because I do not like to be a center of attention.Anyway,when we went on the bus,it was the nice bus like last time.I loved it.The seats were comfortable and adjustable,there was air conditioning,and the windows of the bus were tinted.I think that it was about thirty minutes until we got to Los Sanchez.This time, my sister and I ordered soft tacos.I think that this time,the food was pretty good.It tasted better than the “Super Taco” that we ordered on our last trip.After that,we were on our way to The Getty Museum. On the way to the museum,I saw certain places that I have passed when I went with my dad to Beverly Hills,so I thought that the museum might be around that area,but I am still not sure.When we got to the museum,we had to go on this tram in order to get to the museum,which was located on top of the mountain.It was pretty cool to go on a tram.While the tram went up the mountain,I looked down to see the view,and we were up very high.When we finally got to the museum,we had to decide which group we wanted to join.My sister suggested that we go with Kevin.She said she thought that he looked like a nice person,so I decided to go with her decision.Almost everybody in the group was Asian.I found this to be pretty funny.After that,Kevin led us to many different parts of the museum.My sister and I always followed him because we did not want to get lost.There were a lot of people inside the museum.I listened to my iPod the whole time because if I did not,I would get bored.While in different parts of the museum,my sister and I took many pictures of ourselves at the art gallery and with some unique items in the museum.Overall,I took about sixty pictures of myself inside the museum and at the Central Garden.The part of the museum that my sister and I liked the most is the “South Pavilion”, which had many beautiful decorative arts.Many times,Mr.Hsiao was trying to take pictures of me and my sister,but we did not let him.Kevin's girlfriend also wanted to take picture of us, but we refused.It was because my sister and I feel more comfortable taking pictures by ourselves.As for the paintings,I thought that they were pretty,but I did not really like them.I thought it was pretty boring.We also went out to the balcony of the museum and we could see the beautiful views of L.A.My sister and I tried to take pictures there too,but it was kind of hard because it was so windy.We only got a few good pictures up there.Anyway,the last part of the tour was the Central Garden.I have to admit that the Central Garden was beautiful,but not as beautiful as I imagined.My sister and I also took many pictures of ourselves there. We separated from our group because we kind of walked faster than them,but they are still cool.Around 2:45 PM,we left the museum and went back home on the bus. This time on the bus,it was not a pleasing experience.It was because,for some reason, there was a beeping noise throughout our bus ride home.The music was turned up a little too loud,and there always a baby crying or yelling.I tried to sleep many times on the bus,but I could not because of all those things.The traffic on the freeway was pretty bad.I thought that on weekend,there would be less traffic,but I was wrong.It took around two hours for us to get back to school.When I got to school,I was very thankful that the ride was over.Overall,I pretty much enjoyed the trip.I think that it was a fun experience.I hope to go on more field trips in the near future.

I found this story to be interesting to read.I really like it.This story is about two girls named Roberta and Twyla.Roberta is white and Twyla is black.They first met each other at St. Bonaventure orphanage because both of their mothers dump them there.Twyla had been place in the orphanage because her mother seem to be crazy.As for Roberta,her mother is sick.Roberta and Twyla seem to get along pretty well because they seem to be the outsiders.It is because they not the real orphans like the other kids.I like how this story show the readers that no matter what races you are,you can be friends with someone that have different race than yourself.One should not judge the other by how they look or by their race.One should get to know the person better before judging that person.

The story is really sad.The author,Jo Goodwin Parker,writes about a situation of a lonely mother,who lives in poverty.The mother doesn’t have money for food,medicine,soap,electricity,toothbrushes,diapers or hand cream.When she asks for help,she feels humiliated.A life in poverty means for her,the life in the darkness,with worries and troubles. There is no hope for her children.She sees their future in black colors.The mother lost her hope for better life,she has only the dreams.The author is showing us how life in poverty really like.This story definitely make me appreciate the things that I have right now and not wanting more.I think the purpose of the essay is to let the society know that there are the poor citizens out there,looking for help.The author is passing a message to the public to not to be arrogant to people but to treat everybody equally regardless of wealth and what they look like.

First of all,I would like to say that this story is very graphic.When the author describe some scenes in the story,I could actually pictures what is happening.However,some of the parts in the story was pretty disturbing,especially the part of the lynching of the black man.In the story,Jesse appear to be a racist white man that hate black people.However,when he remember his childhood,his father is the one that make him to be that way.It is because he take Jesse to see the lynching of the black man.Before he take Jesse there,he told him that he going to take him to a picnic.Jesse's father act like everything is normal,even though it not.When they got there,he took Jesse to sit on his shoulder.Jeese feel the bond between him and his father.When he look at his mother,she look the most beautiful in his eyes.Jesse feel that his parents approve of the way black people get treated.Since then,Jesse feel that the black people deserve to be treated badly.When Jeese grow to be an adult,he treat black women badly by went around and go raping them.Even though, he have a job as a sheriff,he surely don't perform the job that he is suppose to do,which is to protect people,not hurting them.

This story is about a Chinese mother that want her daughter,Jing-Mei,to be a child prodigy at the age of nine.At first,Jing-Mei is excited as her mother about becoming a famous child prodigy.However,after many times that her mother show her magazine articles about many child prodigy and try to quizzes her to be like them,she realized that she can't do like them.She feel that her mother is trying to change her to be someone that she not.Later on in the story,Jing-mei's mother saw this Chinese girl prodigy playing the piano on the tv and she want Jing-mei to be like that girl.She then make Jing-mei go take a lesson with a downstair neighbor,Mr.Chong,who is a retired piano instructor and is deaf.Jing-mei took advantage of his deaf by play whatever notes and don't really pay attention to the lesson.Later on,Mr. Chong and her mother told her to play in this talent show.When the time come,at first,Jing-mei feel that she is a real prodigy and that she can do it,however,when she start playing the piano,she mostly played the wrong notes.At the end of the show, she feel dissapointed in herself and feel sorry for her parents that they have to sit there watching her make mistake on the stage.When they got home,Jing-mei expect her mother to yell at her about what happened,but instead she didn't say anything to her.Two days later,Jing-mei's mother still forced her to practice playing the piano.Jing-mei was very mad and she told her mother that she wants her to be something that she is not.She says that she will never be the type of daughter her mother wants.Jing-mei screams that she wishes she had never been born and then,wanting to hurt her mother,screams that she wishes she was dead like her mother's first children.After the fight,her mother never make her touch the piano again.Overall,I like this story.The message that I got from this story is that the mother should let their kids be whatever that they want to be.The mother should not forced their kids to be what they don't want to be because at the end,the result will most likely to be a failure.

This story is about the struggle one mother have to go through to raised her first child,Emily.In the story,it seem like Emily is pretty much on her own.Her mother was very young when Emily was born, so she didn't really get things together yet.During the depression time,Emily's father walked out on them because he can't stand to lived in poverty.At the end of the story,it seem to me that the mother realized that she will not be able to understand everything about Emily or how she had become the person she is today.She acknowledges that,perhaps,Emily will not fulfill all of her potential,but she is likely to fulfill some of it,and that will be enough.

I think that the field trip to Museum of Tolerance was great.I enjoyed learning about the Holocaust.I learned a lot more information about what happened to the Jews.I felt very sorry for them while I watched some of the videos.Some videos show babies being killed, while others show piles of dead,naked women. The Nazis were inhuman to the Jews.I think that they did not have a right to kill the other race,just because they are different from them.I cannot believe how the Germans actually believed Hitler and listened to his message. For me,I think that it was kind of ridiculous. The Germans should have decided for themselves if it was the right thing to do.After I learned about the Holocaust,it made me think how lucky I am to live independently in a free country such as the United States.I can do or be whatever I want to be without having to be worried of being killed just like the Jewish people were.It makes me think that I should be grateful for all the things that I have right now.I like how in the museum I learned about a child in the Holocaust.I received this little boy,named Peter Zucker;he was on the card that I received at the museum about children who suffered in the Holocaust. At the end of the tour,I found out that he is still alive today. I was so happy to know that,because at first, I did not think that he would survive until this day.However,he changed his last name to Cukor instead.I am glad that my sister came with me on the trip.She said that she liked the field trip and that she might go with me again.We pretty much had fun at the museum.However,It would be nicer,if my bf come with us,but unfortunately,he can't come cuz he have skool.As for the food at Los Sanchez,my sister and I did not really enjoy it as much.We ordered two “Super tacos”.When we got the food,we pretty much ate just the grilled chicken in it.At the time of the order,I did not order any drink either, but they gave us one.I think that it was slightly weird but in a good way.It is because we pretty much got a free drink.As for the bus,I think that it was a very nice one.I liked how we could adjust the seats,the windows were tinted, there was an air conditioner inside the bus, and how there was always music playing.The seat was also very comfortable to sit on.On the way back from the museum,I was somewhat frustrated because we faced horrible traffic,and we were delayed in getting back to school on time. However,I tried to be pretty patient about it because there was nothing I could do.Overall, I enjoyed the field trip and I am looking forward to go to more field trips in the near future.

It take me a while to decide whether I should drop my math 60 class and go instead to work more hours or not. This teacher that I have is not teaching right. He teach way too fast. Comparing to my old math teacher last semester, he was a lot better. Finally, I come to a decision that I will be dropping my math class and go to work instead. Basically, I will have only 2 classes instead of 3.However, I wish that I could add more classes, but it was too late already. It might take me a longer time to get enough credits to transfer, but I rather do that than to receive an F on my transcript.If I look at this situation in a good way, I could earn more money by working more hours. :)

This story is about how the black people got treated not equally as the whites.The whites people always assumed that the the black people are always the criminals and that they are always committed crimes.However,not every black people will do that.The whites just assumed that because they racist.They don't want the black people to be equal to them.I believe that in the story,the white people think that they are superior than other races.In the story,it states that the black people that live in the ghettos will most likely to commit a crimes.However,the black people can choose their own paths in life and they can choose if they want to do it or not.They can choose how they want their lives to be and not what other people want their lives to be.Some black people might even be more successful and richer than the whites if they work hard enough.I think that we should all treated other the ways you want to be treated.You should not treats other differently because they have different colors of skins.No matter what colors of the skins they have,everybody is equal.

Where Are You Going, Where Have You Been?

In the beginning of the story,Connie seem to didn't like her sister and her mom that much. She seem to care a lot about how she look and what the other people might think of her because in the story,it say that she often look at herself in the mirror.Later on in the story,her mom,dad,and her older sister, June,went to a bbq's party at an aunt's house.Connie refused to go,so she stay home by herself.A while after,a boy named Arnold Friend and his friend,Ellie,come to Connie's house and asked her to go for a ride with them.Arnold seem to be a stalker because he know everything about her and her family, which to me is kind of creepy.For some odd reason,Connie decide to go outside her house to see who it is. I agree with Aaron and Sonny that Connie should not be doing this. Instead, she should just stay inside in house and pretend that nobody is home.At the end of the story,it was kind of confusing to me because I don't understand why she decide to go out to Arnold Friend.The end of the story didn't really state what happen to her after that.It make me wondering what will happen to her, but it seem to me that it will not be good because she left with a stalker.

At the beginning of the story,I think that the husband is kind of rude to look at the blind man in a bad way, even before they have met.Later on in the story, I don't really like the scene where the blind man,the husband and the wife are sitting down and smoke weed.I think that it set a bad example for the reader.Near the end of the story, there is a scene, where the blind man help teach the husband to draw cathedral and later told him to close his eyes and finished drawing it.For this scene,I think it is unique because the blind man change the husband's perspective of how he see the world in a new way.The husband is now no longer "blind" because he finally sees that the blind man is a person with the same thoughts and emotions as himself.Overall,I can understand this story a lot better than "The Allegory of the Cave."As for "The Allegory of the Cave",I don't understand anything in the story at all.It is very hard to understand and it was a hard reading.
